The Kabul Health Sciences Institute (KHSI) is accredited by the Public Health Ministry of Afghanistan. Students entering KHSI are prepared for a rewarding career as Medical Assistants. During the course of the program, students are trained in laboratory procedures, clinical skills, and office administration.
Students at KHSI learn skills both in the classroom and in an actual clinical setting even before their externship. Since KHSI students have the benefit of actually utilizing and improving on their skills in an actual clinical setting they are ready for immediate employment upon graduation.
Many public and private institutions offer only the courses required to take the National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant*. Upon completion of KHSI's Medical Assistant term, KHSI students are also qualified to take not only the National Registered/Certified but the International recognized/certified credentials.

All equipment at KHSI used for instructional purposes is comparable to what is found in area clinics, hospitals, health care centers and labs.
Our programs use laboratories equipment such as microscopes, a QBC auto reader, centrifuges, scallops universal medical equipment etc, as well as other state-of-the-art equipment.
Students are also trained in the most up-to-date office equipment including computers and internet facilities for further research of the students and all programs use the latest textbooks, handouts, and visual aids.
